Plastic Colorant for PROFILE EXTRUDERS
Similar to sheet extrusion, profile extrusion is the process of producing a continuous multi-gauge profile part made typically of a thermoform polymeric material. An extruder, consisting of a barrel and combination conveying and mixing screw, forces the material through a die. The material is conveyed through another set of dies in a cooling tank that maintain the desired profile until it it fully cooled and set. The resulting product is then cut to a desired dimension, or spooled onto a roll.
