Color Master offers special pigments for pearl, metallic or sparkle, color changing, fluorescents, granite and swirl effect. We offer photo-luminescent, photochromic, and thermochromic effects. Our PVC compounding facility can produce specially formulated rigid or flexible compounds in natural and pre-color black, white, or standard and custom colors as well as offering water clear materials in rigid or your needed Shore A hardness.

COLOR CONCENTRATE

The necessary pigments needed to achieve the target color are compounded at a high concentration into a “carrier” resin that is the same as, or compatible with, the end use polymeric resin. They are used at a prescribed let-down ratio (LDR) and mixed with a polymer base to be processed into the customer’s finished parts. Learn More >

Liquid Colorants

LIQUID COLORANTS

Same as the pelletized version, only the polymer carrier is replaced by a liquid carrier. This allows the pigments to be highly dispersed and optimizes the color and capabilities of the pigments and additives. Color Master employs the use of non-toxic liquid carriers that can be easily cleaned up with water and mild detergents such as Simple Green. This product is packaged and intended for use in a closed system. It does require the purchase of a relatively low-cost dosing pump. Learn More >

SHEET EXTRUDERS

Sheet extrusion is the process of producing a continuous single gauge sheet made typically of a thermoform polymeric material. An extruder, consisting of a barrel and combination conveying and mixing screw, forces the material through a slot die. The material is conveyed through rollers that keeps it flat as it is cooled. PROFILE EXTRUDERS

Similar to sheet extrusion, profile extrusion is the process of producing a continuous multi gauge profile part made typically of a thermoform polymeric material. An extruder, consisting of a barrel and combination conveying and mixing screw, forces the material through a die. The material is conveyed through another set of dies in a cooling tank that maintain the desired profile until it it fully cooled and set. BLOW MOLDERS

Similar to injection molding, blow molding of thermoplastics is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting heated, molten material into a mold. The material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mold. ROTO MOLDERS

Rotational or “Roto” molding is a slow and simple process where a thermoplastic material is placed inside an enclosed mold. The mold is then clamped inside a chamber and is set to rotate in what is typically a dual axis frame.
